Our journey so far
So here is where we are today:
In the four years we have been in Melbourne Kati had her ups and downs. I delighted in her emerging New Romantics punk persona, and spent far too much money on rock chick clothing and black eyeliner. She had adventures in a big city, not all successful. But we were a working unit with all the ups and downs a mother and daughter have.
Late last year Kati asked a group of friends and family to support her to live as a boy from 1 January 2013. Responses were mixed but mostly positive.
Since January Jeremy has become an integral part of my life. Sounds silly doesn’t it. I’m not sure what I expected. But he is my still my baby, the face is still that of the beloved entity that I carried for 40 weeks, that I watched grow and mature. The bedroom still looks like a bomb hit it, the sense of humour is still wicked and he still looks amazing in every hat he puts on his head. This is my child and I love him.
